KUBS SCHOOLS BASKETBALL PROGRAMME
Gael Scoil Mide buachaillí
graduate with honors from Trinity College.
The young heros of Gael Scoil Mide, Kilbarrack qualified for the semi final of the senior division primary schools last week. A comprehensive win over St. Marys, Haddington Road, and the earlier win over Bayside played in the prestigious surrounds of Trinity College. Not one to miss an opportunity, coach Vinny arranged a pre match visit to the Science Building and a mini lecture in the biology lab, which the boys were very impressed with, and they also recieved some nice souvenirs curtesy of Anne Marie in the science office.
Gael Scoil Mide are KUB powered by Kevin Doran, Jack Rowe, Jack Kelly and Padraig Foley. This Thursday the 25th the boys will play Belgrove (last years junior champs), at 10.00am in St. Davids, Artane. Belgrove's team is also KUBS powered by Kevin Hughes, Peter Hoy, Barry Davis, Tom O'Flaherty, and Sean O'Shea and are sure to make this a baptism of fire for Gael Scoil's first appearance in the final stages. Get there early for what will be an exciting and noisy affair. In the Junior Semi another KUBS powered team, Scoil Assam, are up against John Pauls, Malahide. This is also expected to be another close and thrilling game.
